Editorial process and evaluation policy
Vie et Milieu / Life and Environment is a peer-reviewed journal publishing original research. Scientific articles are peer-reviewed. The journal uses OJS to manage its editorial workflow.
Submitted articles are first analysed by plagiarism detection software (Similarity Check - CrossRef). They are then assessed by the editorial team. If they comply with the editorial line and the instructions to authors, the articles are examined by at least two external referees, coordinated by an associate editor. Peer-review is carried out on a single-blind basis and follows the criteria set out in the assessment grid:
Scientific contribution and/or originality is high, average or low ?
Does the title clearly reflect the content?
Are the key words appropriate?
Is the paper well organised?
Is the manuscript clearly written?
Are all figures and tables clear, necessary and useful?
Does the paper contain an original contribution to scientific knowledge?
Is the work sound, without flaws of any kind?
Are interpretations consistent with the data?
Is the cited literature complete and relevant?
All articles follow the same evaluation process, whether they are varias or published in special issues.
Articles are published within 12 months.
Proposals for special issues should be sent to the editorial board for internal assessment. Please contact : vimilieu@obs-banyuls.fr
